I have just been informed by Mr Wooster that we will be leaving the metropolis in all haste. Mrs Spenser Gregson has apparently been pursuing him with some assiduity once again in attempting to induce him to enter into a matrimonial alliance with Miss Honoria Glossop. I shall pack our bags directly. The new tweed suit will be most appropriate, but the aubergine dinner jacket I fear may be inadvertently left behind.
My employer also informs me that Mr Little, a friend of his from the Drones club, has enquired after my services regarding another of his affaires de coeur. I shall endeavour to provide what assistance I may before our departure. I must end this missive now, as my employer is apparently attempting to operate the toaster again. The last time he did so I had to cut short my fishing holiday when I received an urgent telegram from the hospital. |
